Meyer Lemon Butter Cream Frosted Cupcakes

Meyer Lemon Butter Cream Frosted Cupcakes are the perfect flavor combination of sweet and tart, in a small little dessert. Below is the recipe for this yummy spring flavored treat. Enjoy!




Meyer Lemon Butter Cream Frosting

• 3 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
• 1/2 cup of butter (1 stick) softened
• 1/4 cup of milk
• 1 tablespoon vanilla
• 1 tablespoon meyer lemon zest
• 2 tablespoon meyer lemon juice
• Lemon yellow food coloring


1. Mix the butter, vanilla and meyer lemon zest together.
2. Add the milk and meyer lemon juice, quickly creaming it into the butter.
3. Slowly add 1/2 cup of sugar at a time to your mixture and continue on medium.
4. Add food coloring to obtain your desired color.
5. Once the sugar is all in the bowl, cream on "high" for four minutes.
